ACADEMICS

P.S. 233 uses a comprehensive, integrated curriculum delivered in a nurturing and orderly environment.  We have a long and proud history of community and business support.  Our hardworking and innovative staff believes that all children can succeed. They nurture a desire for knowledge, while offering the tools students will need to use this knowledge to its full potential in order to better understand themselves and their world.

Students in grades 3 to 5 participate in exciting school clubs during Fab Friday.  Our Friday afternoon clubs foster growth and learning, and are great fun!

VISION

The vision of the Langston Hughes School community is to nurture the potential in students. When students feel that they are cared for and supported, they become empowered to face challenges, persevere, and give their best effort.  These qualities help students become scholars.

LANGUAGE ARTS

Language Arts instruction focuses on supporting each student’s reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Students engage daily with a variety of enriching language arts activities.
